Nikki Mahar is an elementary educator with two decades of classroom experience and a lifelong passion for the ocean, surfing, nature, and outdoor recreation. She started surfing the Huntington Beach pier at the age of 16 and quickly found roots in the community. After a brief stint away from HB, she moved her children to the beach when they were young so she could raise them on the shores and in the waters of the Orange County coast. She has served as a board member and committee member of multiple non-profit organizations including Adaptive Freedom Foundation, Operation Surf, and Edison Girls High School Booster Club.
